Real stories of Progress

My life in Progress | Andrea

"The base one-stop shop is one step up from a food bank. Hence, we have we give our customers that well we're members as we call them a choice so they can come in and for a nominal fee of 2.50 they can choose ten items of very in value they also get to access lots of free fruited vegetables and so we have all sorts tins, soup, hot dogs, pasta sauces and everything. We also have fridge and freezer food so they can choose their own. We have no criteria, so there's anyone who can join anyone who needs it. Hence, there's no that it takes away any of that kind of feeling of being embarrassed. With approaching food banks and because anybody at all can join up, the community shop is massively essential to the community."
